For Attackers (Attacking Guild) - How to Occupy the Castle

(1) After passing through the siege tunnel, you will come to the South Gate of the outer castle, which must be destroyed to move to the next gate. The next gate is to the east or west and must also be torn down to gain entry to the inside of the castle. Gates must be destroyed through the use of physical force.

(2) After entering the castle, the Attacking Guild must occupy at least 2 of the 5 guardian stones. Each stone is positioned at a different location in the castle. Once the required number of the stones has been captured, the attacker gains the ability to communicate with the Castle Guardian NPC, Juto, for a designated time (5 minutes). While the communication with Juto is in progress, the communicating character must remain in alive and stay in a designated area near Juto - the inner-center of the castle. Click her to start the communication.

(3) While the siege is in progress; if an Attacking Guild succeeds in communicating with Juto for the full 5 minutes, the Attacking Guild wins the siege. If communication effort fails, one of the stones that the attacker has captured will revert back to the defender (Defending Guild), and the Attacking Guild will have to restore control of it and then reattempt the communication with Juto. If the siege time ends before the Attacking Guild has completed the communication with Juto, the Defending Guild prevails and retains control of the castle.

For the Defender (Defending Guild) - How to Defend the Castle

(1) The castle defender (Defending Guild) must take the time to prepare for battle before the siege begins. The siege preparations are classified into two categories, and both are managed by speaking with Lorenzo.
(2) First, the castle lord (Guild Leader of the castle defender guild) can begin siege defense by allocating up to 100 NPC guards in the castle.
(3) Second, the castle lord can enhance each castle gate by paying a fee (in DIL) to Lorenzo.

(4) Once the siege begins, the castle defender (Defending Guild) must stop the attackers (Attacking Guilds) from occupying the guardian stones. If an Attacking Guild successfully gains control over 2 of the 5 guardian stones, then the Defending Guild must attempt to prevent the attackers from successfully communicating with Juto. To defend against these attacks, members of the Defending Guild can move quickly to different areas of the castle by using designated warps.
(5) If the Defending Guild ultimately succeeds in preventing the Attacking Guild from communicating for 5 minutes with Juto, they will be victorious. However, if the Attacking Guild successfully keeps communication with Juto for 5 minutes, the Defending Guild will be defeated and will lose control of the castle to the Attacking Guild.
